Pitch and Roll

Today we left the port of Pago Pago. After some last minute but on-time shenanigans involving a lost filling, a crew member who will remain nameless (the captain), and a Samoan dentist, we pulled away from the dock and made way for the open ocean. Everybody took their seasickness pills and prepared for the open ocean. Finally out of the murky water in port, we can see the underwater portion of the Kilo Moana: pontoons and stabilizer fins. Now it's time to crank the music, bust open the M&M's, and roll out the mapping software and CTD equipment.
