Fall AGU 1996 Session Announcement
On the Geochemical Earth Reference Model

We would like to encourage you to contribute to the Geochemical Earth Reference Model session we are organizing at Fall AGU in San Francisco. Please note that the abstract is due September 11 and remember that it is easy to submit an Abstract through the Web using http://www.agu.org. Please send us, preferably FAX, a copy of your abstract.

V02 Geochemical Earth Reference Model (GERM)

A model is being developed that will provide a preliminary set of values for the compositions of principal reservoirs in the earth and fluxes between these reservoirs. The goal of GERM is to provide an internally consistent and complete reference data set, despite the fact that there is a very poor understanding of inventories of many reservoirs and fluxes. The session will include a summary of major results of the first GERM meeting (Lyon, France) and subsequent progress to develop compositional models. Participants are invited to present chemical and isotopic data for reservoirs and models for the fluxes between them.
